It achieved wide audience recognition through a film adaptation from 1987 by Pavlína Moskalyková, which featured Rudolf Hrušínský, Jiřina Bohdalová, Květa Fialová, and Blanka Bohdanová.

This historically first Olomouc presentation of Fish for Four is a present for Ivana Plíhalová, who in 2022 will celebrate an important jubilee and also her 40th season on the stage of the Moravian Theatre. Together with Ivana, her colleagues Václav Bahník and Naděžda Chroboková-Tomicová will also celebrate 40 years in Olomouc. The quarter of celebrants will be completed by Vlasta Hartlová, who, in 2022, will celebrate her 30th season on the Olomouc stage. All this will happen under the direction of the Head of the Olomouc drama department, Roman Vencl.
